Don Michael Paul, Nestor Serrano and Billy Warlock star as three foster brothers who comprise an elite team of police officers inspired by the los angeles Police Department's original 1930s Hat Squad, as renowned in law enforcement circles for their sharp dress and fedora hats as they were for their relentless criminal pursuits.

Buddy Capatosa is the oldest brother and Hat Squad leader. He is the calm within the storm, the driving force which holds the team of three very different individuals together. Rafael Martinez is a sharp-edged, smooth-talking Puerto Rican whose over inflated image of himself is tempered by his love for his foster family and his pursuit of justice.

Matthew Matheson is the headstrong youngest member of the Hat Squad whose boyish handsomeness belies his inner strength and intelligence. Mike Ragland is the veteran cop and foster patriarch who brought each of the boys into his home when tragedy struck their families and trained them to one day carry on the legacy of the Hat Squad.
